With its quiet setting
in the centre of Hasselt, behind the town hall, the 'Walputsteeg' is
small alley with a variety of cosy places to dine or enjoy a drink,
and a hotel.
In the early days, long before the Walputsteeg, it was a dead-end
alley with 4 little houses and from 1916 - 1952 at the end of the
alley the local fire department. In 1994 the company 'Hadima' bought
the property and restore the houses to the present day WALPUTSTEEG.
Hotel Portmans, a stylish establishment with comfortable
